"True brutal reality"

Films: The Town that Dreaded Sundown (2014)

Alias: Deputy Foster and Corey Holland

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Back in the 40s, a small Texan town was held hostage by fear from a masked killer that no one was able to catch. In the 70s, a movie was made all about it, with almost nothing altered from the story. Now, there are those who take their fascination with the tale a bit too far.

History: Every year, the town of Texarkana, Texas holds a screening of "The Town That Dreaded Sundown". But what they don't know is that the Phantom Killer is back. Or at least, someone who admired the guy is going around murdering people. As it turns out, there are two of them. There's the corrupt deputy Foster and reckless youth Corey. The former was the grandson in a family menaced by the killer, and is rather bitter that no one remembers them. Corey just wants the infamy.

Notable Kills: The trumpet death is back, in all of its glory.

Final Fate: Corey is killed by Foster for being such a prick, but Foster is later shot to death. While the survivor of their ambush moves away, it is ambiguous as to whether she is free from their influence...

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Just when you thought one Phantom Killer was bad enough, now there are two of them! And both still have that slightly menacing get-up. Granted, they lack the mystery surrounding the original killer, but that shouldn't matter when you're being rushed by murder-happy glory hounds.

Trivia: -Although this film takes place in 2013, all of the clothing looks like it hasn't changed since the 70s. C'mon, Texas isn't THAT dated, right?

-The murders back in the 40s were referred to as "the Moonlight Murders".
